What is Aspect Ratio?
The proportional relationship between a display's width and height.
Aspect ratio describes the shape of the screen. It is expressed as two numbers separated by a colon (width:height). Common Aspect Ratios: - 16:9: Traditional TV standard (older phones). - 18:9 (2:1): Taller screens, common in early bezel-less phones. - 19.5:9 / 20:9: Very tall/narrow screens, standard for modern smartphones. - 21:9: Cinematic wide format (Sony Xperia).
Why Taller? Taller aspect ratios allow for larger screens that are still narrow enough to hold comfortably in one hand.
