What is Gorilla Glass?
Corning's scratch and impact-resistant glass used to protect smartphone screens.
Gorilla Glass is a brand of chemically strengthened glass developed by Corning Inc. It's designed to be thin, light, and damage-resistant for use on smartphones, tablets, and other devices.
How It Works
Gorilla Glass is strengthened through an ion-exchange process. The glass is submerged in a potassium salt bath, where larger potassium ions replace smaller sodium ions, creating a layer of compressive stress.
