What is HDR10+?
Dynamic HDR standard that adjusts brightness scene-by-scene for better picture quality.
HDR10+ is an enhanced version of the HDR10 high dynamic range standard. It adds dynamic metadata that optimizes picture quality on a scene-by-scene or frame-by-frame basis.

How It Works
HDR10+ uses dynamic metadata to tell the display exactly how to render each scene. This prevents dark scenes from looking washed out and bright scenes from being clipped.
Benefits
- Better contrast in mixed scenes
- More accurate colors
- Optimal brightness adaptation
- Improved shadow detail
Competing Standards
- Dolby Vision: Similar dynamic HDR (licensing fee)
- HLG: Broadcast HDR standard
- HDR10: Basic HDR (widely supported)
Many Samsung phones and TVs support HDR10+. It's commonly used on streaming services like Amazon Prime Video.
